Individualize treat-: ments for the person's cognitive ability (developmental age in infants & young children), level of Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), physical abilities, comorbid medical & psychiatric disorders & underlying cause of ASD, if known. Behavioral & educational techniques employed during intensive, repetitive, long-term therapies must be used consistently in the home & community settings. It's not easy!
