A member asked:

Is the chromosome microarray test the best test to determine possible autism?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Many tiny chromosomal changes have been reported in patients who demonstrate the clinical criteria of autism, but some do not. Developmental screening at a year/18 mo/2 yr and beyond is a common way to fine those with this label. A micro-array itself is not a definitive test for autism.
