1000 mg: For general cardiovascular health it is recommended that you take 1000 mg omega 3 fatty acids. If you buy over the counter fish oil, 1000 mg fish oil does not translate into 1000 mg omega 3, please note the serving size and the omega-3 content in each pill. Most over the counter pills have only 300 mg dha and epa the active components of omega-3 per pill. You would need 3 of these pills to get 900.
