Low Blood Sugar: Some of the common symptoms of hypoglycemia is feeling of numbness, pins and needles. Drink a fast-acting carbohydrate like apple juice and check your blood sugar level after 15 minutes. Repeat these step until your sugar becomes normal.

Hypoglycemia: The low level is modest, but raises a question of how well controlled your diet and medication truly is. Would discuss further with your endocrinologist. The pins and needles may be only symptoms, but diabetics can have peripheral neuropathies as a complication. Have your doctor check it out.
