Doubt metronidazole: This doesn't sound at all like a side effect from metronidazole or any other drug. I see no reason to take benadryl (diphenhydramine) or any other treatment. If the symptoms continue, contact your doctor.

Continue med: One question is how soon after taking the metronidazole the tingling occurred - that will help determine how likely it is that this is a side effect or if it’s unrelated. If the tingling’s just in your limbs and mild, Benadryl (diphenhydramine) will do nothing, and you should continue taking metronidazole. If the tingling continues or is bothersome or worsens, contact your doctor and share the information.
