My 4year old takes zyrtec , can i give her a small dose of benadryl (diphenhydramine)? she has a small rash on the back of her legs.

I don't recommend it: Both zyrtec and Benadryl (diphenhydramine) are antihistamines, so it would be better to give one or the other. I suggest a topical cream like Hydrocortisone cream unless it looks wet and oozing.

No: Benadryl (diphenhydramine) will do nothing for such a rash. She is already taking a far better antihistamine, cetirazine. You do not indicate the reason. Most likely eczema, so try hydrocortisone. May need to see the dr about it. Benadryl (diphenhydramine) sometimes makes children agitated. Since there is no benefit, avoid the risks.
