My bloodwork says rpr is reactive &rpr quant is 1.1, wbc averages 12.2 for years. haven't had partner in 5yrs could anything else cause these results?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

RPR: Why did the doctor order an RPR? Routine screening for asymptomatic individuals not at increased risk for syphilis is not recommended. A 1:1 titer is extremely weakly positive. False positives can be caused by pregnancy, acute febrile illness, chronic liver disease, IVDA, lupus, HIV, or recent immunization. If your doctor is concerned about syphilis, he can order a confirmatory treponemal test.
