Thyroid: Thyroid are very common and can be found on exam of the neck, US or CT scan. Depending on the number of nodules, size of the nodules and any underlying thyroid disease would dictate what further work-up is needed. For larger nodules a needle biopsy with the possibility of surgical removal may be recommended.
