See a doctor: Sore throat is often caused by a virus. In that case it usually heals in 7-10 days. But if it does not heal, then we suspect bacterial infections like strept. throat which requires antibiotics to make it heal. For this you have to either go to your family doctor or go to an ENT specialist. Home remedies are Tylenol (acetaminophen) 2 tabs every 6-8 hours to relieve pain and use warm water gargles twice daily.
