First i had a ear ache, now i have pain on the side of my tongue & down the side of my throat. i dont see a sore on tongue or gums. its bothering me. going to dentist tomorrow, but what could this be? i cracked my tooth last week on same side.

Cracked Tooth: I think you may have diagnosed your issue... that cracked tooth. If it has decay and/or the crack is deep you will experience those symptoms.
