I have a white bump in the side of my tongue and a sore (muscle ache type) throat on my left side only. the white bump is painful. what is this?

Needs to be seen: It could be any number of things or a combination of issues. See your physician to have it checked out. Situations such as these require one on one clinical evaluations.

Poss Canker sore: If it has recently surfaced it could be an apthous ulcer(canker sore). In that location they can be quite painful. If it lasts greater that 10 days have a dentist look at it!
