Change Meds, exercis: Unfortunately, results with Sitagliptin (DPP4 inhibitor) are not great--especially with the cost. I suggest stay on Metformin, and add the starch-blocker Acarbose with each meal. If that is not enough, add a GLP-1 agonist like Victoza (liraglutide) or Byetta, or an SGLT2 inhibitor like Invokana. All of the above 3 classes of drugs will also help with weight loss, and will not cause low blood sugar. Exercise
