Major Depression: I feel your distress. “Shocky feeling in head like a jolt” indicates need to see a Psychiatrist for severe anxiety and depression, determining need for Intensive Therapy and Medication. Be the Captain of your thoughts, feelings and symptoms, not Victim. Go to a National Park and Feel the Wonders; relax, walk, hike, Have Balanced Diet. Anxiety & Depression: are not pleasant but are treatable. Please see your doc to rule out medical conditions and then a mental health professional for therapy. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is but one of many approaches. See www.relaxationresponse.org for some self-help also. Peace and good health.

Sounds like a panic: attack. There are 33 symptoms of anxiety; a large proportion of them manifest in physical sx's. Here's a primer: http://www.psychologyproductsandservices.com/page2.html. Anxiety is about not feeling in control or not being able to manage something you dread. This could be internal or external. Either way, seek out a therapist to find out how to deal with this dynamic. It's fixable.
