Variable: Talk to your doctor about treatment for a yeast infection or checking for a UTI. Balanitis can sometimes be caused by a skin disease, such as psoriasis. On the glans, it looks red and shiny. You may need a steroid cream. Also, check your soaps and shower gels. Could be an allergy. Same with latex condoms.
