I think your: New back issue needs to be checked out. Sounds like you now have a pinched nerve in your back. Your prior knee and ankle pain may or may not be related to your back pain. For example people with hyperpronated or flat feet can have potentially pain to all three of these regions.

Separate problems: The knee and ankle problem sounds mechanical - flat feet or excess pronation of the feet or osteoarthritis. See your primary care physician, an orthopedic surgeon, or a podiatrist. The back pain may be a pinched nerve. Start with your primary care physician.
