Need information: This should be checked with your Dr.and why he thinks you have the problem. Have you had a TB test and also depends on your history and the actual symptoms. I would consult with your doctor and get more information. Hope this helps.

Difficult to detect: Unfortunately there is no great test for detecting intestinal TB, assuming you have already had double contrast barium small bowel x rays. CT can help detect enlarged lymph nodes suggestive of TB. The most common site of GI TB is the ilieocecal region, which may be reached with an endoscope and this can be used to obtain cultures/smears or biopsies of granulomas.
