Since your question: ...is very non-specific, my answer will be as well. In general, physical stimulation is an external sensation that can be detected by any of our senses. The stimulus of light causes us to see. The stimulus of sound waves causes us to hear. A stimulus can be internal. The stimulus of high blood sugar causes release of insulin. These are just a few of MANY examples of physical stimuli.
