A 27-year-old male asked:
I'm a light smoker of both cannabis and tobacco. recently after smoking about 2 cigarettes a dull lingering chest pain occured and seems to not subside. it's more uncomfortable than painful. is this a cause for concern and further diagnosis?

Pulmonary testing: Smoking has multiple adverse health effects, including obstructive lung disease. The best next step is to try to quit. There are many programs available online to help you to quite smoking. Your symptoms may be related to obstructive lung disease. Please have a pulmonary function test and possibly also a chest image, after seeing your PCP.

Agree with Dr. D: By smoking tobacco and weed you are messing with your lungs, heart and brain. Quit while you are ahead.
Have a healthy diet, exercise 30 minutes/day, drink plenty of water, have safe sex, no tobacco alcohol weed or street drugs. For nutrition: http://www.choosemyplate.gov/.
