Lymph nodes swollen: Greetings. The likelihood that your 3 year old has any form of cancer is very small. Young children have a very reactive immune system and adenoid swelling like I think you are describing often links with tonsil and lymph node activation then reactive swelling. Have your child see the Pediatrician for confirmation but rest assured this sounds more normal than cancerous.

Close to zero: Your average toddler has enlarged tonsils and adenoids and frequently has nodes that are at least peanut size in their head & neck. They have a reactive immune system and these will respond to the 5-7 respiratory illnesses they get/yr as well as any skin rash, bug bite or some vaccinations. We don't see node cancers increase in frequency until the late teens.
