I sprained my ankle last week, saw a specialist, and put in boot (re-evaluated in 3 weeks). boot doesn't fit right. i want cast dr. says no. advice?

They haven't done: casts for decades. And I'm not sure casts were ever used for sprains. The limitation of movement is more harmful than the sprain. It is an indication for x-rays to verify no fracture.

It's your ankle.: I think you'll agree; you either go along with your doctors protocol for treating your ankle or you don't. If you think that he doesn't have your best interest in mind, then find another doctor who could possibly be more sympathetic to your treatment preferences.
