Its okay: Severe ankle sprains take a while to heal. By placing in a Cam walker (walking boot) the doctor is retaining and restrengthen your muscle which have not been used for 6 weeks. You should be getting back to "normal" activities soon. You may need some physical therapy and at times you may have pain while your body fully recovers.
