A member asked:

I've got to take codeine for pain relief 60/90mg will this affect muscle building as i work out?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No, but . . .: I would STRONGLY recommend that you not work-out while taking codeine. You will increase your risk of injury. Codeine can effect your balance, which may effect your posture--which is critical when weight lifting. Also, codeine might mask your ability to properly sense pain, as well as your ability to judge when NOT to push yourself.
