A member asked:

Diagnosed with sag mitral/trivial mr, the radiologist said it's very mild and could heal on its own, i get skip beats and racing heart after sometimes

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Trivial MR is normal: Trivial MR is normal. There is no need for it to heal. I don't know what sag mitral is, perhaps you are talking about mitral valve prolapse, which is not dangerous if you do not have significant valve leakage. Skipped beats are generally not dangerous. Heart racing can be important, especially if it is associated with feeling like you are going to pass out, chest pain, or out of breath.
