I have CAM FAI and had an MRI done, but instead of showing labral tear there was "superior chondral labral separation; degeneration with mild blunting of the anterosuperior labrum." How different is that from a tear? Is arthroscopy still used? Thank?

What does my mri mean? It says the findings were "Subtle intermediate signal of the anterior superior acetabular labrum may be sequela to prior trauma. no convicing displaced tear. Small hip joint fluid is identified bilaterally."
