Depends: If the lesion appears irregular with color variations, is bleeding or crusting or is changing then these are worrisome findings. The best way to determine this is to obtain a diagnosis by having the lesion biopsied which could be done safely with local anesthesia and a punch or shave biopsy. Consult your facial plastic surgeon for options. If you're concerned, simply have the lesion biopsied.
