Probably biopsy.: Sudden appearance of new dark mole on face is concerning as i discount the phenomena of "sudden awareness." need to see primary doc or derm to consider biopsy.

See your doctor: New moles, moles that changed in size, shape, color really should be examined by your physician. It would require visual inspection to determine if this is a mole that is of concern or not. Moles that are worrisome need to be removed and tested.
