Men do not need it!: Males generally eat red meat, more so than females. They also do not menstruate. It may even be harmful, if you are 1/100 having hemachromatosis. It most likely will not hurt, but it is not necessary.

Not advisable: Too much of anything is not good. Excess iron may cause increase deposits in the liver causing inflammation - ?Hemosiderosis, ? Fatty liver.
