Discuss with doctor: Iron levels vary in the blood and are not used to diagnose Iron deficiency. We use ferritin and transferrin saturation for that. I recommend discussing with a doctor , even a hematologist perhaps, to clearly analyze the lab results. I see no need to routinely follow iron levels every 2-3 months in my practice. Maybe another colleague can comment here on uses of iron levels the way you describe.
