You won't get fever: Smart move to be immunized against influenza: congratulations! Flu shots do not cause "flu like" symptoms and definitely not fever. (Vaccines sometimes causes a little fever in young children, but rarely if ever in adults.) You won't have any side effects except maybe a little aching at the injeciton site over the next few days. As it happens, I just had my own flu shot today and feel just fine!

No fever, get it!: People used to get a little sick from the flu shot, because the vaccine did not use killed virus. Now it does. Don't worry. You may get typical arm soreness, but not much. Depends on skill of person giving it. The flu shot mix of flu types this year is supposed to do a better job than last year, too.
