I'm vegan and recently i've been having loose stools (not diarrhea- just not firm stools) 2-3 times/ day. is this bcz of my diet? anything to help?

Possibly: What you don't say is/whats new! If you have been on the same diet for years, but the loose BMs are new, then possibly not. If you just started a new supplement or eating Mentos, its probably that. If NOTHING has changed, then you may have a more complex and possibly urgent problem. It's OK to have 3 controlled soft BMs a day. It's NOT normal to have urgent or very watery BMs. Consider seein

Dr. Cahill's answer is spot on! Consider keeping a food diary and see if you can pinpoint a cause. Avoid sucralose (Splenda) and sorbitol (gummy or jelly candies, breath mints and sugar-free gum) as these sweeteners can cause mild to awful GI symptoms in some folks. Aspartame and saccharine do not
