58yo fem takes 500mg of phenoxymethylpenicillin twice a day long term. can this do more harm than good? should she be taking probiotic/prebiotic too?

Antibiotic use: Yes, anytime you take an antibiotic long term it changes the gut flora and contributes to antibiotic resistance. It is always s good idea to replenish the gut flora any time you take an antibiotic shirt or long term. The best are the ones needing refrigeration
