Probably nail fungus: While a picture is definitely better than ta housand words, your description suggests nail fungus. You can get it checked at a local urgent care clinic for a more definitive diagnosis. In the meantime, put Vicks vaporub on it a couple of times daily for a week or so and see if it makes a difference. Feel better:)
