A member asked:

Found two very small dents in one fingernail (i assume its called nail pitting?) also have brownish/yellowish discolouration on 4 fingernails out of 10 ridges too if you look closely?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Nail ridges can be vertical or longitudinal which are usually signs of aging like wrinkles in the skin which I doubt will be the cause for you. Horizontal ridges known as Beau’s lines are either from injury, thyroid problems psoriasis and malnutrition and seen by the doctor. Hope it helps.
