A member asked:

How severe does dehydration have to be to increase chances of blood clots? mild dehydration? if that's only risk factor is it a high risk ?

Depends: In an otherwise normal person mild dehydration would not matter. In a person with other risk factors, e.g., infection, surgery, pregnancy and immobilization would increase the risk to a more material level.

Blood clot: Dehydration can blood thick and increase viscosity which causes stasis of blood flow resulting in venous clot. It's not high risk feature if it is the only factor.
