41f have lupus, sjorgens, antiphospholipid syndrome and being tested for Cushing disease. I had the cortisol stim test and my labs show that they were high but my acth was normal. Im so worried. Is it normal for cortisol to raise after the steriod?
ACTH Stim test cortisol base- 4.2, 30m- 19.5, 60m-27.0. ACTH base b4 stim 15.8. Elevated ALT-SGPT . Low anion gap, Iron, and neutrophils. Terry's nails. Buff hump, purple striae, hirutism, moon face. Further testing for Cushing's Syndrome advised?
Lightheaded, fatigue, low blood pressures, salt cravings. On very high salt and florinef. Normal AM cortisol. Doctor ordered ACTH stim test. What is that checking and will it likely be normal since AM cortisol was normal?
