Thyroid problem?: Recent unexplained weight gain needs to be evaluated. Sometimes thyroid problems develop during adulthood, as well as other problems that can explain weight gain. If nothing is found, losing weight depends on diet. Because you are so short, the amount of calories you can eat is pretty small, unless you exercise a lot. Talk to a doc who has success, without diet pills, in losing weight.
