No: Blood in stools is abnormal and must be explained especially if you didn't have bowel or rectal surgery. If you did any bleeding should be light and not prolonged. Other causes of rectal bleeding are hemorrhoids, diverticulosis, growths, or inflammatory bowel disease. Your surgeon who knows your case is best to advise you.
