Sciatica: You should consult your physician. Your symptoms may be due to nerve impingement in the back causing the pain and tingling in your thighs and buttocks.. You should seek medical advice. A physician can diagnose your problem by physical examination and the imaging studies . Treatment includes nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory pain medications, steroids and physical therapy.

Sciatica: True sciatica is leg pain that shoots from back, down the leg past the knee. This mimics the path of the sciatic nerve, thus it's name. Mri of the spine or pelvis would serve to differentiate in most cases if exam and history is not clear. If this is your primary pain, it may cause anxiety which could be causing the other symptoms. If the opposite is true, could imply spinal cord or brain issue.
