Biopsy needed: Best to check it out. It is a swelling that may have to be biopsied to determine what it is.

Peripheral nerve : You may have a peripheral nerve tumor (schwanoma) which can present with sciatica. This should be assessed with ultrasound or MRI and referred to a specialist as needed.
