Both: While Marijuana is illegal in most states even medical use hence excluding most doctors in prescribing it. In some states it is legal medically and recreational in a few states. It is clear that Marijuana is helpful in anxiety, chronic pain, anorexia in aids and cancer. However this benefits must be weighed against the adverse effects including decreased response and altered cognition
