Acid reflux: GERD can be worsened by weight gain, so losing the excess weight would be helpful. I would recommend that you avoid any particular foods which give you problems, particularly tomatoes,onions, orange juice, and citrus fruits. Tobacco and alcohol also contribute. You might want to try taking omeprazole once daily for about two weeks, to see if it helps. If it returns, see your doctor. Good luck.
