Multiple treat: Gastro esophageal reflux disease = gerd. This is generally synonymous with "acid reflux" or "heart burn". If you take "acid blockers", you decrease/eliminate stomach acid, however, that does not stop reflux into esophagus. It just decreases and/or eliminates the acidic content of material that refluxes into the esophagus. Hopefully, alleviating symptoms of reflux.
