Not clear but...: This sounds like a stress headache. This frequently is throbbing or pressure and feels like a hat is to tight. Many times it will go to the back of the head and into the neck. This will last sometimes for days or weeks as you have said. What is your stress level? Are you having much caffeine? How are you sleeping ? These are all important in this type of headache? See your doc.
