Alk. Phos. (ALP): ...has wide normal variations. Depending on the lab & how the enzyme is measured, the upper limit of "normal" can be 147 units/L. Pregnancy, breast feeding, rapid growth (childhood & adolescence) and other normal physiologic states can cause ALP to rise. If your other liver tests are normal and you're feeling fine (other than tired!) then there's no reason for concern.
