Sure.: Read the package information to be sure it is safe for you to take. Prednisone takes 48-72 hours to work. An antihistamine may help the pain. Fragrances, aerosols, harsh soaps, and smoke also irritate the skin, so get rid of those in your environment until your dermatitis has resolved. No scented detergents, soaps, lotions, deodorants, etc. No fabric softeners at all. Avoid candles, etc.
