Get checked.: The rule of thumb is that if there is a change in the nature of your headache, (is worse or different) from past ones, then you need to be evaluated to find out why. A difference in the character of a typical headache, can mean there is another cause for it that needs to be treated. Call your doc or get seen today. I the pain is severe, you have new symptoms, like numbness, tingling,etc. ER!

Suggest: Try a different triptan especially Relpax (eletriptan) or Treximet. A rescue powder called Cambia may be useful.
