Some thoughts: cannot say in your particular case, but generally,would depend on the side with diaphram/lung on both sides and liver on right and stomach on left. asthma or other inflammation/obstruction of the lung can cause discomfort. As can an enlarge liver or irritation or other abnormality of the stomach
