Could be other: With your history and age, the possibility of some fungus or other infectious process is a good possibility. Not all masses are cancer and even if this were to be such you are not doomed. Whatever it is, you need to diagnose what the mass represents and treat it. See a pulmonary specialist ASAP as infectious masses can be as problematic as cancer masses. Not getting a diagnosis is the bad thing.
