More info: Prognosis is totally dependent on staging and cell type of cancer, your fathers underlying health and pulmonary reserves and treatments he has had already. May want to inquire from oncologist about new drugs Nivolumab and Afatinib that are showing some promise in extending life with lung cancer.

Hi I had a chest X-ray which came back clear. I then had a Ctpa scan done which also came back clear for lung masses,nodules and a list of other things. Is this enough to rule out lung cancer. Im extremely worried. Thank you ?

CT-No masses, nodules, effusion or infiltrate. Evaluation of the lungs reveals mild nonspecific dependent changes posteriorly in the lower lobes with mild interlobular changes not excluded. What does that indicate? Does that mean pleural thickening?
