A member asked:

I work for a doctor who finds polyps in every single colonoscopy he performs, usually 4-8 polyps that are 5-8 mm, is that likely?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes polyps are very: common in the US population, especially in people older than 60 which with screening colonoscopy being the #1 recommended preventative procedure in that population next to mammograms for women. As long as he has pictures of those polyps that he found, then there is no question to think about.
